Thomas A. Yong
CEO and President

Tom founded Veracast in 1998. Tom is a veritable old-hand in the live webcasting industry having worked with live streaming technology when it was first introduced by VDO in early 1996. While at his previous company - Nextwave Communications - Tom managed all webcasting services and oversaw the development of the ConferenCenter™ Virtual Presentation System™ - an integrated live conferencing and interactive webcasting platform. Tom was also responsible for producing some of the largest virtual investment conferences in the financial services industry.

Prior to Nextwave, Tom successfully restructured Otagiri Mercantile Company, Inc., an $18 million consumer goods wholesaler that he subsequently sold to Enesco Corporation, a division of Stanhome - a Fortune 500 company. Tom's prior experience includes stints as CFO of West Bay Design, Inc., financial manager of LF International (the venture capital subsidiary of Li & Fung Trading, Ltd., one of the largest trading companies in Hong Kong), bond trader at First Chicago and senior auditor at Arthur Andersen & Company.

Tom graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University and received his M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Chicago. Tom is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Eugene Wong
Director

Gene is a founding member of The Aslan Group - a national group of angel investors in early-stage companies. Since 1995, he has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of AmerAsia Partners, Inc. a private investment banking firm. Gene has over twenty-five years of experience in the financial services industry at such firms as The International Harvest Group, Prudential Bache Merchant Banking Fund (an $800 million fund), Drexel Burnham Lambert and Goldman Sachs.

Gene currently serves as an investor, advisor and director to several early-stage companies and is on the Advisory Board of the Chinese Entrepreneur Association. He is also a leader with the SF Bay Area Christian Entrepreneur Association. Gene is a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Business with an M.B.A. in Finance and of Cornell University with a B.S. in Engineering Physics.
